Production Artist 10/01/2011: The production artist is responsible for all aspects of the physical construction and installation of signs and graphics according to written instructions. This includes assembling signs from printed and cut vinyl media and various prepared substrate materials. The production artist must also conduct quality assurance to ensure the efficient production and quality, accurate signs & graphics. Off-site installations also included.
Web/Graphic Designer 12/9/2011: We are a visual communication company seeking an experienced Web & Graphic Designer to join our growing digital development team.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Work with a team to plan, design and develop web graphics for sites, banners and presentations.
- Work with a team to plan, design and produce print graphics for marketing, sales, identity, environmental and many other graphic products.
- Working alongside all departments of the organization.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree, in Graphic Design, Digital Media or related field of study
- Proficient in Adobe CS4 including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Acrobat Professional, and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of many additional file types and conversions.
- Experience with HTML5/CSS3/MySQL/JQuery including familiarity with developing and working in a CMS environments like Joomla, drupal, Expression Engine, etc.
- Basic skills using After Effects and Premiere.
- Up to date SEO and social media integration.
- Familiar with cross-platform issues, graphic file formats for web and image optimization.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in a visual design role.
Other Requirements:
- Knowledge of best practices for designing and interface usability including visual design principals, layout, typography, color, ranking and composition.
- Excellent communication skills
- Time and project management is a must for multiple design projects on tight deadlines.
- Thorough knowledge of development, corporate identity and branding
- Solid portfolio required with 5 professional samples on each of the following: ID design, marketing and branding in print, web design, web animation.
- Spanish a plus!
PAY LEVEL:
The pay will be determined with the level of experience and ability.
